The Coolangatta Gold is Australia's premier Ironman and Ironwoman endurance race that brings together the top endurance athletes from around the country. Victoria Square Apartments invites athletes and sports enthusiasts to witness teams and individuals compete in a combination of board, ski, swim and run on 25 September 2011. By staying at our Gold Coast Broadbeach apartments, guests can have access to the 2011 Coolangatta Gold.
The Coolangatta Gold is one of the most iconic and challenging multi-discipline races in Australia. A 46 kilometre test of endurance comprising an ocean swim, surf-ski, board paddle and run – it is the longest race of its kind in the world. With age categories ranging from under-19s to masters, the Coolangatta Gold has something for everyone. Consider putting a team together to share the pain.
After a 13-year absence from the surf sports calendar, Surf Life Saving Australia brought the event back in 2005 and has committed to ensure that it is a regular feature on the sporting calendar and that it continues to grow. Guests at our Broadbeach holiday accommodation can take part at the fifth year Surf Life Saving Australia will open Coolangatta Gold to the public.
